Great shmup! Solid stage and enemy layouts, the bullet patterns never got too overwhelming. Good catchy music that carries the energy through the stage. Nice sound effects too, none of the shots or explosions were any frequencies that get annoying after hearing them hundreds of times, not everyone gets that aspect right!
As an aside, the bullet pattern from the player feels really familiar, is that inspired by Cho Ren Sha 68k by any chance?
Yeah, Cho Ren Sha was definitely one of the main influences!

Man this was incredible! Very fun to move around and fight enemies, especially with the lter powerups. The sudden shmup segments were a pleasant surprise and kept the gameplay fresh, and I like the character designs. The music and sound are great as well. great job!

For a game jam game this was fantastic! Had me hooked, the gameplay was very well done and fun to keep playing, and the whole experience had a very nostalgic feel to it for some reason. Loved it
