Immaculate y2k vibes. I'm in love with the prerendered 3d all over the place, the music is incredible, the minigames are actually fun and replayable (and the warioware one is so perfectly encapsulating of the art and gameplay and sound design/music that people loved about those old handheld ones). I never felt bored or stuck at any point because there's always something for you to do, and yet it never felt overwhelming or stressful. I really appreciate the tomagachi-esque simple designs for all the pets and seeing their next evolution was always interesting. If I can give one small criticism, its that the arena battles seem a little confusing as to how damage is calculated or how/why a character takes damage and the other doesnt, im assuming its a stat-based calculation of atk/def but it felt inconsistent to me. Also the fireball attack doesnt seem to hit or do damage, unsure if thats a bug or if i misunderstood something.
All that said, I loved this experience and put a good solid several hours into it, A+ keep up the great work.

AWESOME graphics and presentation on this one. You're really bringing me back to the old days with this soundfont. (Fellow Pixeltone user, or just the Organya synths?) Great job on the music regardless. I love these character designs, the limited palette with this rusty/moldy sort of color scheme- meant as a compliment of course, and the combat and movement are fun to get used to. I'm getting a sort of nostalgic FLCL meets cave story vibe from the presentation?

I appreciate the attention to detail on things like the train going through the background of the first floor and the slight rumble of the screen as it does. Things like that really make me appreciate something like this. I can't put into words how weirdly nostalgic this game makes me feel somehow.

Extremely addictive yet simple. Loved playing this a lot, you somehow nailed the balance of making it fun while keeping the roguelike elements feeling worthwile. The acrobatic frantic combat is the most fun aspect and very well done, especially with how each weapon feels very different and has different moves/range. Awesome job

Great shmup! Solid stage and enemy layouts, the bullet patterns never got too overwhelming. Good catchy music that carries the energy through the stage. Nice sound effects too, none of the shots or explosions were any frequencies that get annoying after hearing them hundreds of times, not everyone gets that aspect right!

As an aside, the bullet pattern from the player feels really familiar, is that inspired by Cho Ren Sha 68k by any chance?

Yeah, Cho Ren Sha was definitely one of the main influences!

Incredible. I love abstract enemy designs like this so much, and this kind of music is exactly my jam. The decision to show powerup stats in programming code (is that GML, or am I mistaken?) is a powerful style. Very cool

Ive never felt such empathy for a ball-bearing before

What a simple but interesting concept! I liked playing it through to the end, great work!

At first I thought it was a bit too simple, but once you start getting powerups and different enemy types coming in, it gets surprisingly engaging! Good job

addictive and fun! I got to the king only once, but couldn't survive lol
